"Dos"

In our year together, Matt impacted my life more than I can write. He was an extraordinary person, unlike anyone I have ever met in life. Matt was incredibly insightful and challenged me to think beyond the obvious. He made me a better person by teaching me about life, happiness, simplicity, spirituality, books, tidiness, sudoku, Dave Matthews, the veggie scramble at Martha's, and of course Clemson college football.

I had only known Matt for a couple months when he invited me to take a trip to Mexico with him and a few of his friends, including his future boss. I thought, wow he must really trust me that I'm not going to be some freak! Truth be told, I was also nervous to spend so much time with him so soon. From the moment the airplane took off, Matt made me feel at ease with his calm nature and comforting smile. That trip turned out to be some of the most fun I've ever had, even if Matt's nickname did become "Dos" after some bad lobster.

So while I still don't know exactly what a "safety" is, I absolutely know that I will remember Matt for the rest of my life.
