Matt- a moment of joy too short

I only had the privelege of knowing Matt for 7 months.  Late last year I became his sales manager at Temple Inland.  Matt was the consummate professional who was dedicated to results but more importantly to people. I looked forward each day to the bright smile, the insightful intelligence and the quick wit and to just be in his presence as he always gave my day a lift.  I have been thinking about what it was that made Matt so special and I decided it was that because he was so kind and caring of everyone - he made everyone around him want to be that way too.  He had a sense of peace that helped you know that everything would turn out as it should in the end. He impacted my life a great deal in our short journey together.
