Message Received, Brother

I knew Matt for a little over a decade.  When I first met Matt, it was likely during a festive college weekend at the University of San Diego--circa 1997-ish (we most definitely were keepin' it real).  Matt was one of Adam's "brothers," as was I.  Therefore, Matt was and remains a brother to me.  Although I didn't know Matt as long as Adam did, anytime we all hung out it was like being with family.  Matt freely shared love with others and he allowed himself to be loved. 

I really dig the photo of Matt holding the "Love" sign at a DMB concert.  It shows how Matt chose to live, and it takes a lot of courage to be so open.  This is one of the messages I will always have from how Matt lived--to have the courage to consistently share love with others.  It is the way he lived, and something I will aspire to.  Message received Bro, and God Bless.
