Bright spots in life
Twenty Years
I first met Marcy at my brother's townhouse....she was in the kitchen rearranging everything. She couldn't stand mess. I got to know her from then on from time to time as she came in and out of my life. She loved horses as I did so I took her to ride. I had never seen a working quarterhorse with an English saddle before. I do not think the horse knew what was up with that crazy saddle and a wild woman on board. After doing a few jumps, she convinced me to try that saddle and I nearly broke my neck in the first 20 feet; however, she handled it with a passion. She had a passion for life that was remarkable. Once, I was in a meeting in Oceanside, California at a Mimi's Cafe. I looked up and, there she was in sweatpants and sweatshirt, no makeup but still beaming. I left the table and walked up behind her to say hello. What a shock to see an old friend this far from Phoenix and totally coincidental. I had a chance to get to know her with her dog Sparky. She was great with animals and with her friends. I will miss her and look forward to the time when we will meet again. I am sure she is in good hands until then.
