Marcy Remembered...
My story...
She has a knack for bringing out the best , or worst in a person, but you could be sure that there were never any gray areas. She is polarizing and mesmerizing at the same time. When I would be out taking in the sights with Marcy, the world knew Marcy was there. And I was happy to be there just viewing the procession.
We did spend some great times in college, and after. We both like pizza. We both had our “fast car” days. Her desire was inherited from her Father. My affliction was inherited from my Father. She always said that she liked me because I could work on cars. I liked that we could trade for house cleaning.
She amazed me at her huge capacity for compassion for others. Her ability to get upset because someone didn't do what was best for themselves, was the clue. She could run herself in the ground caring for others. Very unselfish.
As we both had our paths to take in life, we drifted apart. But the always dependable phone call , at the wrong time, was a signal that Marcy was back. We’d reconnect on family and life’s dealt hand for each of us. Something always told me that this one was special and not to let it go, this time. The timing was always a bit off, but then, when is it ever right.
