Marcy Helped Me to Understand

She was our friends' daugher;she was her own person.

I knew Marcy as Lynda and Phil's daughter. I saw her occasionally at gatherings, and spoke to her as an acquaintance. Later, I came to know Marcy as her own person when I began to invest money with the financial institution that employed her. It was she who helped me to understand the intricacies of the paperwork. It was she who explained the difficult concepts to me. When I came to ask her questions, she was kind, warm, and never made me feel foolish.

I still have paperwork that has her precise and perfect handwriting on it. I don't need the paperwork anymore, but I will never throw it away. It is representive of her life as a precise, perfect, and passionate young woman. She touched my life as she did so many others. We miss you Marcy. Love, Elinor
