Has it really been one year?  In some ways it just seems like last week that I talked to Mom on the phone.  What I wouldn't give to be able to do so again.  I miss her so very much, and I know all of you do too.

I ordered some pictures from the gathering in Napa that was held in June.  They are beautiful.  You can find them at: www.zenfolio.com.  Go to John Pitt's photographs and check out the two folders of pictures "Martha Walker Garden".  To e-mail John directly, go to johnpitt305@comcast.net

This Tuesday, I signed papers for my new house.  Today I learned that it is mine.  I know Mom would be thrilled, and I also believe that she helped me to make this step.

Okay...now to get a glass of wine and watch The Daily Show...one of Mom's favorites.

Much love,

Mary Boettcher

Welcome to this place of tribute and sharing for the remarkable person of Lelia Berry. Her sudden passing has left us all shaken and in sorrow. Lelia has touched so many lives, and it is here that we can share the story of her life, of all she did and inspired us to do. Her life cannot be told by one person. So break out those pictures and videos, post those stories, memories and tributes, plan to attend a celebration or plan your own and invite those you can. Remember. Create. Laugh.

  • You will be missed by many for your cheerfulness and sense of humor. My thoughts will always be with you, especially when I get "dressed up" a girl can never have enough beads, sequins and sparkles! I am including one of our pictures on the Mendocino Coast in May 2000. You always made me feel special and part of your family. With my love, Jackie
