Magical even in High School
by Kathya Kalinine
Dearest Angie, Kelsey and Malia and extended family... I learned of David's passing after reconnecting with a Curtis High School classmate and I was very shook up about the news. After happening upon this beautiful website, I have since built up the courage to express my condolences to all of you. I have fond memories of being in CHS Swing Choir with David. I didn't know David very well, but I always remember him coming into choir class with a smile on his face, a friendly and sincere 'hello' and a passion for singing. After reading these beautiful tributes about David, I wanted to make mention that he must have had great parents who raised him to be such a gentleman--even as a teenager--and it seemed to carry through well into adulthood. I'm not surprised...it looks like his magical spirit and giving ways has impacted us all. Reading all these tributes has strengthened my continued desire to raise my son to be just as loving, caring, generous and kind as David was. David, you are yet born into another life, one without pain and aside of our Heavenly Father. God Bless you and all those whose lives you touched. Thank you for your smiles and kindness. You will be forever missed but not forgotten... God Bless, Kathya Kalinine Curtis High School Graduating Class of 1983
