Friend and Colleague
I first met Dave in April, 2003 when Hanger acquired his company. I had the good fortune to provide business assistance to him for the ensuing five years. More importantly, we became friends.
It was readily apparent from the first time I met Dave, that it was critically important to have a balance between family and business. His had the ability to be a strong business leader and at the same time devote adequate time to his family. He was always asking me how my vacations went or how I spent my time off before discussing business.
He was a creative motivator for those he managed and a very astute business person. He enjoyed taking on challenges and was rightfully proud of his accomplishments. It was an honor to work with him.
I was amazed at how he was able to endure the pain of his illness and still perform at a high level. It was incredible! I will miss our talks, his friendship and comraderie and Hanger will miss his leadership. It was an honor to know him. I am sure God has a special place for David.
