David lived  each day of his life with passion and purpose.  David's strength through everything he endured was an inspiration to everyone who knew him.

David loved everything about life.  He loved boating, fishing, golfing, duck hunting, skiing, drinking good wine and laughing with those he loved.  Mostly he just loved being~

He was my perfect match and the most wonderful father Kelsey and Malia could have ever asked for.

As we say good bye to an amazing person, let us join together in sharing memories and stories that will keep David alive in our memories forever.

  • If the World were filled with Our David's...

When we were growing up, you were constantly a source of entertainment. Whether it be rubbing the top of your head because you had the softest crewcut in the world or tapping you on the tip of your nose to make you sneeze, you always felt like an extension of my physical being to watch over and protect.

You let me play with you and your friends, shoot your bebe gun, run my pink banana seated bike over your cool jumps, rev the hotwheels before I sent them down your loopdeloop track, or play badminton after flying ants on a warm summer eve.

I remember when you were scared and would sneak into my room with your football, place it under the covers in between the two of us to keep us safe throughout the night. I remember your relentless allergies, so you would don a bandana tied backwards on your face to mow the lawn (it never helped but it did make you look like the neighborhood lawn mowing bandito).

I remember countless days pulling you on the inner tube at the beach with our 6 horse motor and 10 foot dingy. I know now it wasn't so fast but the laughter and 'wave jumping' you did while I tried to circle as close to you as I could with the boat, still makes me giggle. I remember sharing beef jerkey and the special mix of nuts and blue m&m's at the top of Crystal Mountain--Mom made us that special to empower our ski speed.

As we got older, you were ever the gentleman with my friends who swooned after you. When you could drive, you shared my Audi until you caught it on fire and put it out with dirt from along side the road.

As college came and went, you were fortunate enough to cross paths with your soulmate early on. Watching you and Angie build a life together, a family, a business, a future, provided constant inspiration and hope to me.

To be a man who exuded a Spirit that energized so many, touched so many, cared for so many who as a result of your magic and artistry could walk again, touch again, believe again, is a man for whom this world should be grateful walked the earth even for a brief time.

If the world were filled with Our David's, I am convinced we would all gracefully learn from our challenges, be generous at the blink of each eye, find peace, wonder and amazement in our families and our surroundings where ever we may be in that moment in time.

If the world were filled with Our David's, tears would turn into rainbows, colds into fresh summer breezes, and sadness into new days filled with sunshine.

David, you are forever a part of my everyday, forever a part of my soul. Never a goodby, only until we meet again.

Love you xoxo, Your Sister Krista :)
