Remembering

Remembering

It is said that you will remember someone by the way they made you feel. From reading all the great stories everyone has written about Ann I can truly see she made a lot of people feel loved, needed and respected. I remember seeing Ann around the park and especially at the annual seasonal orientation every spring she would give her speech about being the EEO officer and if we had any concerns and where we could reach her at work or at home. This was just one of her many duties at Dinosaur and I am sure she volunteered for that one.
Ann helped train me to take over one of her responsibilities here at Dinosaur and in training me I got to see how kind and patient and how very knowledgeable she was. I know it must have been very hard for her to pass her work on to someone who knew almost nothing about Natural Resources. But in return I helped her learn the new office procedures that she would need to learn more about.
My office is full of volumes of Ann’s work and as I have learned to do a small part of her job I will never be able to do the job as good as Ann did. Ann left Dinosaur with her head held high and warm regards for the coworkers she left behind. Ann wrote cards of thanks and well wishes to us as she left but we never really got to show her our appreciation until now through this memorial we can let her other friends and family know much Ann was liked and respected.
I will always remember Ann for the way she made me fell in awe of her strength courage caring and gracious nature and that maybe I too could be a better person by  following some of her examples.
