Educating by love and example

Dear Tom,

Steve and I were heart sick to learn of the passing of your sweet Ann.  After reading through her memorial stories and your loving comments we regret that we did not know her well.  You were a team that contributed so much to your family, friends, and community.  Steve and I have always admired all you have done as a teacher to open the minds of your students to the wonders of this planet and science.  You always led by example and took learning beyond the classroom to community and real world experiences. We know how devoted you have been to your students.  Ann was and always will be an important part the man and the teacher.

We thank you for being willing to share Ann with others through this memorial site.  We are comforted to see that you are surrounded by such good friends and family who will help you through your grief.  Please know that we send our love as well.  Our home is always open to you when you travel to the Wasatch front.
