A TRUE HEART
I am truly blessed to have known Amy. She was an astounding person, always striving to be the best in everything she did; taking great pride in who she was; and never compromising her principles. I have always admired what she stood for.
I have struggled with the realization that she is no longer in this world, only just learning of her passing six weeks ago while making plans to travel to Little Rock for a conference. I was extremely excited at the prospect of seeing her again. Over the years we had remained loosely connected normally speaking once or twice a year. We spoke many times about visiting each other.....a visit that never happened. When I couldn't find her I knew something was wrong....I finally found her on this website .......how could she be gone? Why hadn't I attempted to contact her sooner?......The last time we spoke was the month prior to her accident. She was happy.
I met Amy in Texas in 1984 and during the next several years that followed we shared many good times.....I recall driving to Kansas to visit family on more than one occassion....Family meant the world to her....she loved you all so very much.
As it turned out my conference at Little Rock was rescheduled to March. I plan to visit the NPS where she was employed while I'm there.
Amy.......I will see you again my friend.
