Songs From The Heart

God Bless Amy & Her Loved Ones

My name is Carol Sue Kirkpatrick - Sister-in-law to Amy's brother Pat Garrett.

Lord, this is never easy is it. I am so very sorry to hear about Amy. So sad for the loss to the one's who loved Amy so very much and for those who shared in her life, for their loss. Shine and be free, Amy. Shine and be free. God bless

Almost 30 years ago - I had met Amy as I had a little crush on one of her brothers! Gosh, time flies by so fast doesn't it!  I remember going inside their home and meeting Amy. She seemed pretty cool, and very kind, rather silly and just gave me an overall feeling that it was okay to talk, be myself and be around her!  A friendly soul!  While I was waiting for her brother, Amy sort of giggled and said "Whatever you do, don't look inside the sink!" Of course, I had to look inside the sink!, where there were squirrels and rabbits from the boys hunting. We both rather moaned "Ewwww!" doing the "ewww" silly dance, you know! lol...

I never really got to know Amy closely throughout the years but you know how family stories go from one member to another? Well, I don't recall ever hearing bad stories about Amy. Rather hearing good things about her and of course her outstanding award and overall that she was a good sister to Pat and an overall good person, you know!  A few years ago I had stored a captains desk in my shed for several months after their mother had passed away for Amy. When she picked it up she was just the most pleasant of souls!  Her smile was just lovely, you know!

Pat's wife, Sherry (my sister) had told me about Amy. How sad and upset Patrick is. I am so very sorry Pat, so very sorry. When we lose someone we love so deeply as a family member it's as if a part of us has also gone away. Blessed may all of your memories be to hold each moment forever in your heart and mind.  ((hugs))  I hope this doesn't sound cheesy or anything, I don't mean for it too. We had discussed what it may have been like for Amy the last few moments of her life. One can only imagine and pray she did not suffer. In my heart of hearts I believe Amy is with the Lord now. God bless.

For those of you... a few original songs by Carol Sue Kirkpatrick & Friends. Again, I hope this doesn't appear cheesy or anything. Just from my heart as I do know how hard it is to lose someone you have loved so very much.

With love, respect and blessings, Carol Sue Kirkpatrick
